The Gallery Neu West Berlin is the physical manifestation of Neu West Berlin´s public communication and provides an initial and visual impression of our activities. Passing through our temporary exhibitions before entering the networking and presentation space in the rear, this huge space in downtown Kreuzberg quickly developed into a hub for artists and collectors alike.
Over the last years an international profile of Artists and Activities has been introduced to our audience. Our focus is broad, but programmed precisely. Many of our Artists works have been previously displayed worldwide in diverse galleries, museums and institutions. Being open for all mediums, tools and formats, we focus on new, young and relevant positions and statements providing significant insights into the most pressing cultural, political, and social questions of our time.
We also collaborate with the New York based project CT::SWaM. CT::SWaM [Contemporary Temporary:: Sound Works and Music] is an event series that emphasizes spatial sound work and focused listening. It was initiated by Daniel Neumann in 2012 and takes place at various spaces in NYC. 2016 CT::SWaM will be intermittently presenting compositions and experiments for audible space at Neu West Berlin, too.
